Sad that football season is over? Well, it’s just beginning at PAC Fitness!

Football isn’t over; it’s just beginning at PAC Fitness! We are kicking off our 2013 offseason football conditioning program on January 8th.

The program is 3 days a week for 6 weeks and will cater to three different age groups:

  • Boys 9-11 years (5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  • Boys 12-14 years (6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  • Boys 15 years+ (6:00 – 7 p.m. Tuesday & Thursday and 9:15 a.m. Saturday)

During our offseason conditioning program, all of our athletes will be put through strength and conditioning workouts designed to improve their flexibility, muscular endurance, core strength, speed/agility and muscular strength. Each athlete will be exposed to TRX training, plyo-metric training, cross conditioning movements, power sleds, agility ladders, battling ropes and resistance training with free weights/machine weights. $300 per athlete. Holiday Exercise Tips from PAC

As we enter this holiday season, many of us are coming up with ways to cut calories. Cutting calories is an easy way to avoid putting on the 7-10 lbs. the average adult will gain by December 31st, but it’s not always realistic. If you’ve tried cutting calories during the holidays in the past and have failed, then we’ve got a plan for you. Instead of sacrificing and failing, how about increasing your activity level to offset the addition of all those calories? During this holiday season, each of us should change up our normal exercise routine and increase the number of days we train. Use the next six weeks to get more consistent with your program, and you will avoid gaining any extra weight!

If you need help getting consistent, if you need a fresh, new exercise program, or if you need someone to hold you accountable, then consider hiring one of our personal trainers to help you. Our trainers will provide you with challenging and exciting workouts that will help you get positive results during the holidays, without having to count calories.

The PAC Pacers are Up and Running!

The PAC Pacers have been working out hard! They are meeting on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. for a 30 minute run followed by a 10 minute strength training session, on Wednesdays at 5:45 p.m. for a 30 minute run, and on Saturdays for a 45-60 minute run. All fitness levels are welcome—from walkers to seasoned runners. Every workout is modified to fit the individual goals of each participant. Anyone is welcome to run with the PAC Pacers even if they are not a member of PAC Fitness, so invite your friends! Please note that if the temperature falls below 40 degrees, workouts will be inside PAC on the treadmills. If you are on Facebook, please join the PAC Pacers group to stay up-to-date.

Interested in running a half marathon? The PAC Pacers are putting together a group to run the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half on March 24th in Dallas. There are two options: you can either run the full half or you can do the two person relay. A 12-week training program will begin in January.
