Benefits of Having a Strong Core

DarrenMeet PAC Fitness Personal Trainer Darren! Today he’s talking about the benefits of having a strong core.

It seems everywhere you turn these days from gym classes to fitness magazines people are talking about the importance having a “strong core.”

What does that really mean? Your core is essentially the muscles in your abdomen, hips, back and chest. By strengthening these groups of muscles it helps you perform better in anything from exercising to playing golf to every day life.

Core exercises can range from Planks, Crunches, Reverse Crunches, Russian twists, leg lifts or basically any exercise on my favorite, the TRX Suspension trainer. So put down the remote, get up off the couch and get to work! Your core will thank you!
